We were commissioned by Riot Games to tell a story on a truly epic scale – bringing the League of Legends world to vivid reality using our signature balance between the cinematic and the abstract.
We wanted to bring something fresh and artistic to the ‘cinematic game’ style, whilst staying true to the League of Legends universe. Keeping narrative and character out in front, we used our eye for visual, abstract detail to enhance the magic of the game’s elemental forces, moving fluidly into non-linear time to portray our central character’s journey.
In collaboration with production company Troublemakers, we created vast, dramatic worlds of conflict and explosive forces - involving experimental, hands-on production methods in partnership with digital artistry.
